1:14pm: BP is now 146/80. Still a bit high for Ilsa. They'll watch it.
1:05: Standing BP is bit high (141/91); they will check it again in 15m. They also found the missing ultrasound machine (they'd wanted it earlier this AM) and confirmed that the baby's head is down where it should be; engaged with Ilsa's pelvis. Contractions are crampy at this point, not as pronounced as they need to get. Our nurse (Lisa H) is from Iowa (born in Cedar Rapids).
12:48: We walk up to the pantry and are shown where the goodies are; juice, water glasses, popsicles, and ice cream. Mmmmm.
12:44pm: Ilsa walks up & down the hallway & nurse comes to take BP. Scintillating, I know.
12:35pm: Ilsa has had a few crampy contractions. The anesthesiologist has come by and explained the options. Our code word plan may be foiled; Ilsa needs to be aware and self-aware enough to help with the epidural insertion.
12:01pm: I went out for lunch and got the good camera and our entertainment: Lord of the Rings, all 3 movies.
11:13pm: Administration of misoprostol.

It IS scintillating. All news is exciting at this point. Hoping that pain and such isn't too bad yet. Get the epi if you need it. I'd have needed four Vicodin and a vodka tonic just to get out of the hospital parking lot. ;-)
